| All the fun stuff I bought from the dollar store before immersion. |
At the end of my short practicum my FA's asked me if I wanted to stay with primary or if I would like to try an older grade for my 405 long practicum. Although I was very nervous to try a grade I had never worked with before, I told them that I wanted to go with an older grade. I wanted to make sure that I experienced all ages before I went out into the TOC world. I was assigned grade 6/7 at
Maillard Middle School. Middle school had been the age I was most nervous about, but I was excited to try something different. In September we took courses before immersion. These courses were run by the BC Teacher's Regulation Branch. They told us all of the rules of being a teacher. We were all scared, nervous, and excited. We just wanted to jump in and get started!
